April 30 More tough hills but handsomely rewarded with ride down into and exploring town of Tenby.

April 29  Ride from Mumbles, through Carmarthen to Llamgyng was a blend of forested paths, hedge lined farm roads, mud tracks, and brutal hills. Hills so steep that as you approached them they looked more like walls than hills. Stayed cyclist camp site run by young farm couple, Tim and Alex. The grey portable closet is actually a shower with hand pump for pressure. Sunset from their place by a campfire.

April 28 enjoying a breakfast of Welsh

bacon, French pressed coffee, toast. fresh fruit, in a turn of the 19th century seaside B and B  in Mumbles Wales. Yesterday I seriously thought about becoming a practicing Christian as I sat in the splendour of the Tweksbury Cathedral North of Gloucester. Wonderful weekend with Suzanna and Jamie. Dryier today, hope it holds, it won't as I make my way around South coast

April 27 second of two day stay with Suzanna and Terry in their seaside cottage which inside has a wonderful Greek look while outside its all English garden Gloucester style. This lovely, creative  couple provided thoughtful conversations, delicious meals and a warm welcome  Much appreciated.

April 26 Empny, Gloucester, staying with Susannah and Terry in their seaside cottage surrounded by weathered wood table, squeaky wood floors, exposed beams, hearth fire place with cheery woodstove , white and pastel walls and paintings , photos and walls of books everywhere.
Ride today was wet, windy, sunny. Pub lunch was fresh baked Shu pie, with a dog snuggled next to me and two older gentleman talking about their travels as young men in the merchant marine.
